Nature trails

Liksna Manor Park (Liksna paths)

Walking paths was made by the inhabitants of Liksna village in 1999 and from then every year this paths has been extended. There are walking paths, well-equipped recreation places, creative forms of wood and metal, including the Love Tree.

Dinaburg Castle Trail

Appoximately 1 km long trail, that goes to ruins of the Dinaburg Castle and castle model. Trail offers a great opportunity to experience the knights’ environment – bridges, springs, steep slopes, narrow paths, a true medieval spirit and magnificent nature.

Markova Mound and Cognitive Trail

In the surroundings of Markova Mound, there is a 1.6 km long Markova cognitive trail, where such objects as Markova Mound, Markova Cemetery, Putānu Streem, Putānu Streem Boulder are located.

Medumi Park and walking trail

In the beginning of the 20th century Lacky, botanical garden manager from St. Petersburg, created a park near to Medumi lake. Now this is a popular place for fishing and relaxation on the beach of Medumi lake. 2 km long trail is located in the park.

Svente walking trail

The Svente walking trail is located several kilometers from Jaunsvente park, runs along Sventes lake.

Akmenupe Nature trail

Here it is possible to get acquainted with the natural diversity of the Augszeme highlands – geological formations, forest and meadow plants, to meet wild animals.

Lielborne trail

In Lielborne you will find an old park created on the terraces and a 2-kilometer walking trail.

Forest trail “Egļukalns”

JSC “Latvia’s State Forests” (LVM) in the southern region of Latgale has opened the new hiking trail “Forest trail “Egļukalns””, suitable for both families and experienced tourists.

Slutiski ravine trail

An interesting walking route is located in the very picturesque territory of the nature park “Daugavas loki”. The Slutiski ravine trail connects Slutiski scarp and Slutiski courtyard.

Nature reserve “Pilskalnes Siguldiņa”

The nature reserve situated in a gorgeous valley that has been carved by melting glacier waters, has the territory of 59.3 hectares. The banks of the valley are thickly covered with broadleaved trees.
