Nature Park “Daugavas Loki”

Nature Park “Daugavas Loki” was created to preserve the unique natural complexes, natural, cultural and historical values and little transformed landscapes of the ancient valley of the Daugava on the site of Naujene to Kraslava. The bends of the ancient valley of the Daugava are considered to be the oldest geological formations in Latvia. The Nature Park “Daugavas Loki” was recognized as the NATURA 2000 territory in 2004, but in 2011 this park was included in the Latvian National UNESCO World Heritage List.

Mola (Viski) Manor buildings and park

From the manor which was formed in the 19th Century for the Polish noblemen’s Mole family nowadays has remained only barn, manor house and free planning park with around 75 trees and shrub species.

Liksna Manor Park (Liksna paths)

Walking paths was made by the inhabitants of Liksna village in 1999 and from then every year this paths has been extended. There are walking paths, well-equipped recreation places, creative forms of wood and metal, including the Love Tree.

Svente walking trail

The Svente walking trail is located several kilometers from Jaunsvente park, runs along Sventes lake.

Ski resort “Egļukalns”

The skiing and snowboarding paradise of Daugavpils District offers to have fun on three tracks: slalom, family and snowtubing, every winter.

Chervonka Manor Park

There is 3 ha large park of free planning with more than 14 different kinds of exotic trees and plants just in front of Chervonka castle.

Medumi Park and walking trail

In the beginning of the 20th century Lacky, botanical garden manager from St. Petersburg, created a park near to Medumi lake. Now this is a popular place for fishing and relaxation on the beach of Medumi lake. 2 km long trail is located in the park.

Ambeli Park

It is a free style parkland located in the natural basin. There are rare kinds of trees and bushes in the park. The pond occupies 0.4 ha and the western part of it is swampy.

Vabole Manor Park

The Park was landscaped in a 19th Century in English style by the count Plater-Zyberk. Many historical buildings (part of the old manor and horse stables) remained to this day. There are 21 tree and brush species, pond and equipped recreation area in the park.
