The National Culture Centre is a place where the Belarusian language is heard and where all conditions are created for the development of Belarusian creative talents, the expression of national identity, the preservation of the native language and traditions, and the promotion of Belarusian culture in society. The centre fosters positive intercultural dialogue and supports integration processes within Daugavpils’ diverse and multicultural environment.
The cultural space features an exhibition dedicated to Belarusian culture and history. Visitors can view national costumes, an installation representing the interior of a traditional Belarusian rural home, and traditional Belarusian dolls.
The centre also offers an educational programme for schoolchildren called “Belarusian House”.
Target audience: children aged 7–18 (one class).
Duration: 40 minutes.
The activity is led by centre staff with higher pedagogical and musical education.
