Folk Costume Parade “Wear Your Folk Costume in Honour of Latvia!”
On 4 May, the Day of the Restoration of Independence of the Republic of Latvia, Daugavpils will host the Folk Costume Parade “Wear Your Folk Costume in Honour of Latvia!” for the second time. The parade will start at 12:00 on Rīgas Street (from the Stacijas Street side) and proceed to Vienības Square, where it will conclude with a festive gathering.
Museum Night in Daugavpils
On Saturday, 16 May, Daugavpils will host the European Museum Night, an international event that has brought together museums across Europe every spring since 2005. On this night, various tourism and cultural sites in Daugavpils — museums, exhibitions, as well as sacred and cultural institutions — will open their doors to visitors. They will offer the opportunity not only to visit permanent exhibitions free of charge, but also to take part in special activities such as creative workshops, concerts, theatre performances, film screenings, and other events.

Rekonstrukcijas festivāls “Dinaburga 1812” ir veltīts 19. gadsimta sākuma notikumiem pie vēl nepabeigtā Daugavpils cietokšņa mūriem, kad tam uzbruka Franču imperatora Napoleona karaspēks maršala Nikolā Udino vadībā.
