European Museum Night is an international event that has been held in many European countries since 2005. On this night, various tourism and cultural sites in Daugavpils — museums, exhibitions, as well as sacred and cultural institutions — will open their doors to visitors. They will offer the opportunity not only to visit permanent exhibitions free of charge, but also to take part in special activities such as creative workshops, concerts, film screenings and other events. The event will be held on Saturday evening, May 23th.
This year, 13 places in Daugavpils will be awaiting Museum Night 2026 visitors – museums, exhibitions, sacral and cultural institutions will open their doors to everyone and will offer free admission, except for the World War I Museum “At the Commandant” and the Medical Exhibition with a contraceptive exposition, to the permanent exhibitions as well as special events such as workshops and other activities.
