Autumn exhibition season at the Rothko Museum
From 13 September to 17 November, the Rothko Museum will present its autumn exhibition season: “Disegno Interno: Surrender to Your Obsessions” – a sweeping tribute exhibition celebrating the iconic surrealist filmmaker Jan Švankmajer and his wife, Eva Švankmajerová (Czechia), “Jewish Motifs” by the renowned abstractionist Solomon Gershov, the new solo project by the Latvian artist Verners Lazdāns, “Humans, Beasts and Landscapes”. Meanwhile at the Martinsons House, the new season will offer ceramic “Reflections” by Skaidrīte Cihovska.
“Halloween Horror Park” in Daugavpils
From 12 October to 3 November, Daugavpils Central Park will become the mysterious “Horror Park”, which promises to be the most ambitious and spectacular event of this autumn. Every evening from 3 pm to 10 pm, the park will open its doors to all those who are willing to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of mysticism and fear.
FLEA MARKET IN DAUGAVPILS FORTRESS
On Saturday, October 26, from 10.00 to 14.00, a traditional flea market will take place in Daugavpils fortress, near to the Daugavpils Fortress Visitors Centre (Nikolaja ielā 5).
Rigas street fair
On 19 October, from 10 am to 4 pm, a fair on Rigas Street will take place in Daugavpils. Visitors will be able to buy products from local producers and craftsmen, and other interesting things.
