During the summer, we invite you to take part in a wide variety of events and festivals that will be organised at the Daugavpils reservoirs. Plan y<\/strong>our trip to Daugavpils early!<\/strong><\/p>\n

June<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 29 June<\/strong> at 10.00 am<\/strong> on the central beach of Daugavpils city by the Stropu Lake,<\/strong> we invite all sports enthusiasts and beach volleyball fans to an exciting event – the Open Beach Volleyball Championship<\/strong>! REGULATIONS.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This year, on 28-30 June<\/strong>, for the 37th time, the biggest orienteering festival in the Baltics will take place –\u00a0 “K\u0101pa 2024”<\/strong>. Every year the competition is held in a different part of Latvia and this year it will take place in Latgale, in Daugavpils Ruge\u013ci water reservoi<\/strong>r. The competition will be held not only in classical orienteering, but also in trail orienteering and orienteering on bicycles or MTBO. July<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 13 July, at 12.00 pm<\/strong>, Daugavpils Stropu Lake Rowing Base (Stropu Street 40)<\/strong> will host – “Daugavpils Cup in kayaking and canoe rowing 2024”<\/strong>. Applications can be sent to dinaburg.dragon@inbox.lv<\/strong> until 9 July, 17:00.<\/p>\n

On 20 July at 10.00<\/strong> am<\/strong> on the central beach of Daugavpils city by the Stropu Lake,<\/strong> we invite all sports enthusiasts and beach volleyball fans to an exciting event – the Open Beach Volleyball Championship!<\/strong> REGULATIONS.<\/a><\/p>\n

On 20 July, at 10.00 am<\/strong>., Daugavpils will host the International “Dragon Boat” Festival<\/strong> for the sixth time. The competition will take place in Stropu lake near the rowing base (Stropu street 40)<\/strong>. Pre-registration is required (team name, participation group, list of participants, uniform colour, captain’s name, contact details). The application must be sent by e-mail to dinaburg.dragon@inbox.lv<\/strong> by 19 July. 23:59.<\/p>\n

On 20 July, at 10.00 am<\/strong>., in the surroundings of the Ruge\u013ci Reservoir<\/strong>, a popular adventure and hardship race – “Courage Race 2024”<\/strong> – is organised, which is held outdoors and attracts participants of different fitness levels – both professional athletes and beginners. The race will test your physical and mental abilities on courses of different lengths, overcoming both natural and man-made obstacles, performing various tasks, as well as enjoying the scenery and the splendour of the city. August<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the second year in a row, the youth and sports festival “Arti\u0161oks”<\/strong> will take place at its new home, the central beach of the Big Stropu Lake<\/strong>, on 3 August, starting at 10.00.<\/strong> The festival programme is planned to be wide and varied with various sports activities – table tennis, karate, taekwondo, weightlifting, orienteering, beach volleyball, Mamanet tournament, speedway, motocross, archery, water fights, video games, basketball. Many opportunities for young people to explore career options and projects.<\/p>\n

On 3 August, at 10.00<\/strong>, there will also be the opportunity to take part in the “Summer of Youth”<\/strong> competition (3rd stage). It will take place on the beach of the Big Stropu Lake<\/strong>. Teams must register in advance by filling in the APPLICATION FORM<\/a> and sending it to ivars.caune@daugavpils.lv<\/strong>.
